I AM a Harry Potter fan.......a big fan.......and so are all of my grandkids. We have HP movie marathons on rainy Saturdays. So this teapot challenge that de Mudder gave us was near and dear to my heart. If you are familiar with the HP story you will remember that Hagrid came for Harry on his 11th birthday.........Harry had wished himself a happy birthday by drawing a cake in the dust on the floor of the dreary island house that his uncle had rented. Once Harry had escaped with Hagrid,,,Hagrid's present to Harry was a white snowy owl named Hedwig. Red & gold are the colors of the House of Gryffindor that Harry belongs to at Hogwarts School. Hunter Renz is the recepient of all of our cards this week. He is turning 12 and is a huge HP fan. Hunter will recognize the significance of the items on this card.
He and his twin brothers lost their mother to cancer and we want him to feel special on this first birthday without her. Check out the story for this week and join us in making his birthday a special one.

This fantastic cards shows that you are a big fan of HP! I love the owl with the birthday hat and how you have the birthday quote by Hagrid!! Hunter is going to Love this card!!

OMG! How fun! I cannot wait until Hunter gets this card, you know he will just smile! He will understand...I have seen only one so far and I sorta understand! Giggle! This is the most creative and wonderful card! Ha! I love that you got the glasses on there.....from one Harry Potter fan to another, this will rock his burfday! You did good.....oh yeah, the owl! Perfect in white! Yay!

Love that you used Gryffindor colors on your card -- and look at Hedwig with a party hat! I too am a big HP fan, as are my children and grandchildren. My daughter just borrowed all my DVDs and is having her own HP marathon!

Tina, this is just a wonderful Harry Potter card!! Love it!! Thanks for the mini story....I know nothing about HP but think I will read the first book and see the movie and then decide if I want to read them all...
