This is for this week's Featured Stamper Stacy (aka JBgreendawn). Stacy has an amazing gallery, and again I decided to jump to the back of her gallery. When one has such a vast gallery I like to try to pay tribute to one of the originals. That being said, this is the card I chose to case:
I changed the color scheme, used twine and a brad rather than ribbon and bow. I put the sentiment on with the image, and rather than putting 4 brads in the corners, I tore the image, sponged to look burnt, and added a photo turn. I also used an A2 rather than square shape.
This card is for my son who is really struggling lately with the pressures of college. So I thought the sentiment was perfect. The image is from Tim Holtz, and I double inked it trying to give it an antique feel. I inked first with Memento Potter's Clay, and then gently inked on edges with Memento Rich Cocoa.
Thanks, Stacy, for the inspiration. Thanks to everyone who stopped to look. Sure hope my son likes it, and I hope you do too.

I think your son is going to really love it, and I love that you added a little photo holder (thingy) (which makes me remember i have some of those and I have not used them in a very long time and will have to dig them out)

A very evocative image and a wonderful sentiment. I was just unpacking some boxes and came across all the cards my SIL and I sent to my daughter while she was away at college. I think she kept every one of them. I'm sure your son will appreciate this one.
