This cute fella is for the clean and simple challenge today. I found these fun foam gingerbreads in California and my mind got going!! I think they came from Target (we hit so many stores I photographed a blank one with his dressed up brother so you could see all the possibilities! I gave him a little more of a baked look by sponging distress inks in tea dye, vintage photo, and walnut stain around him and then used itty bitty backgrounds for that spicy cookie look. Glue on some ric rac, tie a gingham bow, stick on a button and some punched greens, add a tag if you like or just stick with "raisins". I used the biggest hole in my cropodile for his eyes and belly. I used a circle dauber for his cheeks with some chalk ink. I added prisma pencil in raspberry around the outside and blended it with the dauber again. I think there are 10 or 12 in the package so they could decorate a cute country tree, or I think I will use mine as jumbo tags for bags of crinkly sugared ginger snaps. Quick and easy and oh so cute. I just love gingers~

A-D-ORABLE, Michele!! Wonderful job of sponging to give the gingerbread effect - looks like the oven was just the right temp and in for just the right amount of time!!! I love word definition sentiments and this one is so darn cute!

WOW, you did a terrific job of decorating him up!! I can almost smell the gingerbread now. His warmed up edges look like he just came out of the oven. I like your tag and bow and all the trimmings around his neck. So cute!!
