QFTD86, Queen Karen...
Added to Favorite

Photo Details
Poster: Luv Flowers

What a pleasant surprise to find Karen Barber our queen for the day or week!! I love to see Karen as one of SCS's regular stampers. Her work is lovely. I love that she finds a stamp among Stampin Up's inventory and uses it several times. She really loves her stamps.

One of Karen's trademarks is using wide ribbon. You must give me massive applause, because I finally had the courage to try it. It's really because of Karen. Anyway, I find it difficult, and that it ends up affecting my card in a negative way instead of a positive way. Maybe I need to practice, or just accept that we all have our own styles. This is the card of Karen's I modeled mine after, FAUX FABRIC TECHNIQUE by Karen B Barber at Splitcoaststampers

Karen, enjoy your reign!! You certainly are a queen. Thanks for giving so much to SCS. :>)

Kim,
I always applaud your cards! You are much braver than I was - I didn't even try to imitate one of Karen's bows - but your ribbon/bow looks awesome with the Elements of Style image. I love the colors you selected - pretty combination. Your card is beautiful and elegant!

Beautiful! You have so much texture here and the image is so gorgeous. Good for you doing a 'Karen ribbon'.

Wonderful! This does remind me of Karen with the ribbon, colors and image! I like how you alternated colors in the framing. Great embossing.

EOS and the striped GG ribbon are Karen's trademarks. You have used both of them here so wonderfully with the vanilla, chocolate chip and pink!! Great job with the ribbon, Kim!
