 | | I love to look at wallpaper. To me, it's like looking through an art book. I've been waiting for the right inspiration to use some vintage wallpaper that I purchased and this was it. I thought this website was divine! My wallpaper is a foiled and flocked damask in gold, green and pale aqua blue. It's gorgeous in small amounts; can't imagine a whole room in it. In the SC challenges, I searched for a layout that I thought would compliment the paper best. My card measure 4 x 5 inches, with the inside measuring an inch longer than the outside. So the outside of the card rests on the star embellishment. If you look closely, you can see the patterned paper I used on the inside, which is a Martha Stewart notecard from last Christmas. It has some bluish aqua fir branches that I thought looked great with the wallpaper. The person I bought the wallpaper from also included the French book pages so I stamped Noel on a bit of that, just to tie it all together. The star is actually a clothing iron on, although I can't imagine how it would iron on as it is quite stiff and cardboardy. I backed it with some gold cs because the inside of the star didn't look great. The beads were already on the star. By the way, my inspiration is simply the whole website. |
