I chose this card from the Blue Carrot Shop just to get me started. Only my bear is resting in a hammock after that long walk across that big log! hehe.....
This card was also inspired from two cards of Julie's, aka justwritedesigns. this one for the cut out and script, AND this one for the sunflowers, black n white checkers and sheet rock tape squares. hehe I am always intrigued by her beautiful cards and the techniques she uses to create each one. She is definitely an inspiring stamper.
Oh this is also for Friday's F4A challenge which was to make a stellar designed card. I ask you, who could go wrong cas'ing one of Julie's cards.
Quick details, stamped and clear ep the image coloring with tombow markers. Cut out. Painted the black n white squares. The checkers were made using sheet rock tape for the stencil and the script is from the newspaper. Put it altogether on a black AC card.
Julie, hope you are enjoying your reign as Queen! Thanks Anne for a great IC site. AND thanks too, to Dawn for a great challenge Friday, making a true free for all card. Have a great weekend ya'll!...TFL :0)

There's nothing more real than a bear on a plate (your inspiration piece) unless it's a bear in a hammock! LOL! Really cute take on your piece and great homage to Julie! Love the checkerboard!

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh .... I've asked twice this past summer for a hammock ... and "no one" is receiving my hints! This Gruffie is perfect! ... ... and I totally agree with your logic on finding a stellar design too. Happy weekend!

Very cute! Love the bear in the hammock! Nice image and coloring! Neat that you tied together inspiration from three different sources. The bear pic was one of my inspiration pcs, as well. Hope later today, I am able to create the card I had in mind.

This is fabulous, Cathy! I love the cut out w/ the print behind it and the drywall tape grid is perfect. Super colors and cute image. Your cards are always so creative and unique. Thanks so much for the wonderful honor.
