Here is my second card for today's FS (DIANNE!) challenge. I am learning to make plain CAS cards. I wanted to keep my focus on the angel. For that reason, I chose to keep my card simple and rustic with no embellishments, such as ribbon, buttons or brads. This is Dianne's elegant angel card that was my inspiration
Cut the PTI Love Lives Here Holiday angel die out of light weight chipboard. On PTI vintage cream c.s., I stenciled the body in Ranger di broken China and the wings in tumbled glass. I stamped the heart in fire brick red. I wanted to achieve a "rusty" background. I dampened my finger and then rubbed the c.s. in various areas, re-wetting my finger as needed. This "pilled" the top paper layer so I could "peel" a little off. I sponged tattered rose to the slghtly damp c.s., trying to create a glow around the angel. I distressed the edges with Tim's distress tool and used my finger to rough it up a bit more. I inked the edges with Ranger di vintage photo. I cut my SU dsp (?) background paper, distressed the edges with Ranger di vintage photo, and mounted on a Hob Lob card base. I distressed the card base. Adhered the angel piece with All Night Media dimensionals. Inside, I stamped PTI Flower Fusion #2 (Mel's again!) frame and greeting "thinking of you." I also added a strip of the SU dp that is on the front.
Thank you for looking!

Your absolutely beautiful card is very moving. Your angel does look etheral. The heart is perfect. Your background around the angel is so pretty. I can't seem to find the words to describe just how awesome your card is. It really "moves" me. Thanks for sharing your creativity.
