Hi everyone, thanks Cindy for a fun theme! I made this card on Sunday when my 19 year old DG was visiting. She asked me what a sock hop was. I told her that's what we called a dance when I was a teenager. Oh she said you mean an old peoples dance! BRAT!
I used stickers for the car, record, music note and the wild party girl. The poodle is an iron on applique. The lines in the road are cut from a narrow piece of white card stock. Added some silver cord. The sentiment is computer generated, punched out with an scalloped oval punch. I sponged it with DI spun sugar and popped up. The whole front of the card is also popped up. TFL
I will be participating in the tease a tea potter.
Hugs Linda

Linda, this is awesome! I smiled at your DG's comment, and also to think of how much fun it was to make those poodle skirts! Love the car, your wild bg and the memories this card brought! You are so talented! Hugs....

I love this card and the wonderful memories that it brings up, old people and all!! I was a little past the poodle skirts, more like mini, but we still called the dance a sock hop! I love the pink car with the sparkly hood and the pink poodle!

I love all the elements you brought together here. Such memories. I was a bit too young for the poodle skirts but I do remember what a sock hop was and certainly remember what a 45 looked like. If you mentioned to a kid now that you had an extensive 45 collection they would think you were a gun collector.

Now there's a car for all Kit's former classmates to be envious of . That's fabulous fun DP too. I must admit that I wasn't familiar with the term sock hop, but less on account of age than an ocean in between, I suspect ;-).

Bwahaha! Old People's Dance! And I was worried that I was the only one who would know what a sock hop was! Snort! Yay, at least there are two of us! Giggle!
OMG! What fun this card is! You definately captured that *going to a party* feel! I love the pink leopard print, the fun little fuzzy poodle and the car! What an adventure! Now be home by 9:00 and don't drink the punch if it smells funny! Snort! You rocked this challenge girlfried! Hee hee!
See ya at the old people's dance! Hopefully you are tickling an *old* teapotter!
