Here is my creation for this month's theme, IN YOUR FOOTSTEPS.....
The biggest influence in my life concerning artistic impression comes from my wonderful parents. We were always reminded to use our talents to the best of our ability, because they were from God. We didn't have much, but were shown by their example at a very early age to have Faith, and God would show us how to use what He gave us.
Mom was a talented painter, and crafter in many mediums for at least 70 years - from the time she was a teenager and began taking ceramic classes and learned sewing from my grandmother - making my prom dresses and wedding gown, teaching ceramic and crafting classes, drawing and painting - any form of creativeness - Mom was there!! My Dad was a carpenter, and from him I learned all about perspective and using space - he was a self taught craftsman and everything he did came so naturally, I marveled as I watched him make all kinds of things from wood as I grew up.
I wanted to make this framed remembrance of my parents reflect that FAITH they instilled in me, and also this sentiment to honor them for the way they inspired me by their creativity to become what I am today.
God bless you, Mom and Dad, there's not a day gone by that I don't thank God for every minute I had with you! Miss you!

Sue, your words bring tears to my eyes - how blessed you are to have such faithful, wonderful parents and no wonder you're so creative, you really are following in their footsteps!! This is such a fantastic tribute to them, I love the gem flourishes and how you framed them in a lacy Nestie!

What a wonderful testamony to God's blessing you with wonderful parents. You look exactly like your Mom, Sue.
I love the creativity that moved you to make something you can see in your own home as a reminder that God is good.
Hope you've had a wonderful summer. I've been busier than I've been in a long time.

Greenie, what a beautiful inspiration piece. You are so blessed to have had good parents. I know they would smile to see this and read your words. Completely beautiful, and inspiring. LYMI
