Oh These DTGD Challenges are addictive! I have been trying to combine the challenges so that I can actually interact with my family...
My inspiration for this card was my grandmother's pastry blender. I use it regularly (my family are all pie fans) and I think of it as red, tho' it has faded to be more vermillion. You can see it with a mixing bowl in the photo of the card inside. Made the cool origami diamond fold card following the wonderful tutorial. Cut the black Nestie square, punched the circle & scalloped circle and stamped the Crafty Secrets image in Memento Tuxedo Black. I have a stamp somewhere that says "What's Cookin' that would have adorned this card if it found me, but it did not so I PC generated the one on the card. Finished the inside with another image from the set embossed with Filigree White EP. Added the ribbon and done. PT - 4
This card meets the challenges listed...thank you so much ladies for your inspiration and tutorials - big Hugz to all!
Thank you so much for looking. Have a peaceful day.

I have a few of my grandmother's cooking tools, too! I think of her fondly when I use them -- as I'm sure you think fondly of your grandmother, too, when you use her blender. I like the red/white checked paper.

What a special card to be inspired by your grandmother's pastry blender. The paper you used was just perfect and great job on the origami diamond fold. Hey, you can send one of those pies my way.

This is so cool-it does have a retro 50's feel. I love those old kitchen implements with the red handles. How blessed to have a piece of your Grandmother's worn and used blender in your position to carry on a family tradition. This card is a wonderful tribute to her!
