What a relief - 30 something photos yesterday and not one I was happy with, one shot only today.
When I read Jeanne's challenge I thought yikes, because I don't really do sentiments much at all, let alone as the focal point. But the exception that proves the rule are the ODBD stamps - and I'm hoping that this counts for the current Stamping in Time challenge to use a tag. I was going to use my tag die, but even it wasn't quite tall enough for this verse; it is a tag shape .
A2 base sponged with Faded Jeans.
All papers are Cosmo Cricket Material Girl.
Sun and grass are stitched with zig-zag in toning colours. Entire edge stitched with blue. Tag shape sponged with Faded Jeans, verse stamped in Versafine Black. I added some Sandy Lion stickers which were part of a birthday gift and match the paper perfectly, and a punched butterfly with Stickles on its wings. After much searching I found some matching yellow ribbon for my tag, which is popped up on foam.
A second thank goodness - after last week's F4A card which was that very rare thing - a card DH doesn't like - he's earmarked this one for a friend's birthday.

Very lovely. I love how the sentiment is the focal, but there is still alot going on that makes it such a bright and beautiful card. The sun and flowers are amazing.

Beautiful card - your stitching is wonderful! I love the colors and the verse is lovely. I'm thinking of buying a sewing machine just to use on cards - if I can talk my sis into teaching me how to use it!
