For the challenge we are to use the design rule of three, a good rule that we often followed in landscape designs too. My threes are the pearls on each side of the card, three flowers in the image and the envelope outline image was stamped three times.
The base of the card is cut 8” by 5.5”, scored at 4” and the oval is placed ¼” higher than the fold to make it an A2 sized card. I lay the card base on a ruler and let it guide me when placing the overhang/oval.
The image was colored with Prismacolor pencils and itÂ’s been requested that I list the pencils so here they are by color and number:
Cream – 914
Deco Yellow – 1011
Deco Pink – 1014
Blush Pin – 928
Pink – 929
Lilac – 956
Jade Green – 1021

The out of the box image using Nestabilities: a pictorial can be viewed on my blog in this link if you need photos and IÂ’ll explain how I achieved the technique for those that donÂ’t wish to leave SCS for directions: Lie the Nestabilities die cut side up over the image and mark with a pencil on each side of the image that will be out of the box (youÂ’re marking on the inside of the die cut) and also make a couple small marks on the top or bottom for easy die cut line up. Cut the image slightly further than the mark to allow for the thickness of the metal. Flip the die over and slide it under the portion which was just cut and secure with repositional tape if needed (I use the blue painters tape). Run through the machine to cut then emboss and remove the die cut, erase the pencil marks and itÂ’s ready to color. I color after cutting just in case I make a mistake.
The pearls are attached with AleeneÂ’s Paper Glaze (any lacquer product will work). To make the process fast and easy I squeeze a drop of lacquer onto a waxed paper (I repurpose the paper that stickers and labels are purchased on), touch the end of a large corsage pin to the lacquer then to the back of the embellishment which picks it up, position it on the card and press down with a finger, there is a little time to slide the embellishment into position if needed before it sticks tight.
The Scor-Pal was used to emboss a line between the punched border and designer paper.
The butterfly on the paper is just part of the paper.
Stickles were applied to the flower centers and leaf veins.
