The current ODBD challenge is a sketch.
Blue birds singing must be fairly tuneful (we don't have them here). The other morning when I was standing at the bus stop there was a crow trying to sing. I promise, he wasn't just crowing, he was really trying to sing. It must be Spring .
5 3/4" square base. Papers are My Mind's Eye Bloom and Grow, with some blue card for the punched border.
When I saw the sketch I wanted a long sentiment for the bottom strip so I pulled out Sing to the Lord. Stamped on watercolour paper and coloured with H2Os. Although I used Spellbinders mega ovals as a template I actually hand-cut the oval, drawing lines around the inner and outer edges. Masked the inner oval and painted the outer frame blue. Masked the outer frame and faintly sponged a bit of Scattered Straw around the edges of the inner oval.
Sentiment is edged with an SU border punch. Corners of green layer punched with a Fiskars corner punch, pearls added. Quick Kutz swirls under the image and lots of Liquid Pearls added in Petal Pink and Ocean Blue.
I am so forgetful today - I meant to add some Liquid Pearls to the centre of the dogwood blossoms. Consider it done!

Sabrina, your work is always special, but this one is over the top. Dogwoods are so special to me and remind me of my mom. Your wee lil birdie looks like he is singing! So precious! Hugs.....
