This is my sample for this month's Blast From the Past Blog Hop for Taylored Expressions. The theme for this month is Going Green which you can take one of two ways: use the color green or "go green" and incorporate a recycled element into your project. I went with the later. And what did I recycle? None other than some of the brown packing paper that came with my last box of goodies from TE.
I crinkled the paper and then flattened back out. I cut little rectangles and stitched onto Early Espresso cardstock. The layout for my card is this week's Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge by Karen Giron. I did mess up a bit and the strip of red felt is in the wrong spot... that's what happens when you are assembling the card with card base in the wrong position. Oops! ;)
For the main image I used the Pet's Place stamp set and created a little scene using a few of the images. I colored the image with PrismaColor pencils and accented with a bit of Glossy Accents and Crystal Fine Glitter.
Accessories: Circle and Petite Scalloped Circle Nestabilities, heavy duty white thread and sewing machine, red wool-blend felt, Cherry Divine Twine, foam dimensionals, Glossy Accents (Ranger), Crystal Fine glitter (Martha Stewart).
