This is for a friend who is a long time English Riding enthusiast. When I saw this image I knew I had to have it for her. And, I've finally used a doily on a card!
The image is stamped on smooth watercolor paper with Palette Burnt Umber and colored with Prismacolor pencils. I then cut out the image with the Nestabilites Labels Eight die and created a watercolor wash around the image with an aquapainter and Not Quite Navy reinker. Finally, I covered the image with Versamark and clear EP.
This card measures 5 x 6 1/4 inches.

Here, at last, is the doily card. Now, how did I know that when you set out to make a doily card you would make THE perfect doily card? What a beautiful way to set off the image, and your ribbon choice is ideal. Can't miss those dainty pearls, either. Your coloring is beautiful, as well, and the image is lovely. My friend just gave me a pack of doilies, so I see more doily cards in my future, too. I'm feeling inspired!
