This week the Teapotters are rounding up recruits for the Canine Squad -you can read the full story here.
We are also sending our cards to Officer Alex, a real life Miami police officer who was injured in the line of duty just before Christmas and is now laid up with a blown out knee - ouch!!
Ironically, as this challenge was being posted, a funeral was being held in Toronto, Ontario, Canada for a local police officer killed in the line of duty last week. Sgt Ryan Russell leaves behind a wife and two year old son. Thousands and thousands of police officers marched the route towards the memorial service, while citizens lined the streets as they walked by followed by the funeral procession.
A somber reminder that each and every day, police officers put their lives on the line - in all countries.
So my thank you to all who protect and serve us, and to Officer Alex - a speedy recovery!!
Thanks for taking a peek!

Aww...what a precious card Laurie! I love this....its precious and Alex will be touched by it! It made me sad to hear your story.....I agree...its a dangerous and thankless job and a scary thing for a family to deal with. So sad for the family. It sounds like he was honored appropriately, just a heart breaking time.....
Love that you were able to come this week.....Your cards are always so very sharp, clean, creative, fun and special. Those are only a few words that come to mine! Good to see you girlfriend! Alex will be pleased......
