-To create the scene:
First step was to create a emboss resist mask for the snowflakes using a VersaMark Pen and clear embossing powder.
Cut a mask for the snow girl from sticky paper and mask off the image after stamping. Tear a piece of scrap paper thatÂ’s larger than the image panel in half to act as the mask for sponging on the sky and snow hills. Cover the ground area and place a punched sticky note circle where the moon will be. Sponge on the sky starting with the pink at the bottom, then light blue and make sure some of this blue is sponged over the pink then the navy blue is the last application. Remove the moon mask and sponge on whatÂ’s left in the sponge without reloading. Now itÂ’s time to stamp on the sleigh.
Switch the pieces of torn paper and mask off the sky and sponge on light grey starting with your sponge on the scrap paper and dragging it down onto the white. Move the paper or use a new piece if youÂ’d like a shape change and continue to add snow hills until satisfied.
-Prismacolor pencils, baby oil and paper stumps were used to color the image using the Gamsol technique. Baby oil replaces the Gamsol/mineral spirits.
-I didnÂ’t care for just clear embossing on the snowflakes so I added Art Glitter Adhesive and clear glitter after the panel was finished.
-Aleene’s tacky glue was used to apply the Flower Soft – Polar White to the hat’s pom – pom and I made sure I didn’t cover the stamping markings on the image so that’s why you see some black.
-Lines were scored in the punched trees for texture and they are attached with AleeneÂ’s tacky glue.
