Well...I was going to post this earlier today. However, life intervened. I went over to check on my father and found his kitchen, bathroom, dining room and living room in a shambles. I was so angry I almost lost it. It seems, that he has not done laundry, dishes, cleaned the FRIDGE OUT, or picked up ANYTHING in the weeks since he got home from the hospital. My visits to him, (and Mother) have been confined to the secpnd living room that is "down stairs" of the rest of the house. I was so angry, that I started POURING bleach on the floor of the bathroom, and kitchen. I ruined NEW pants, and got it on my SHIRT! (Shows me, right?) Then, the drain was backed up in the sink. So much that now we had to call a plumber! No wonder he hasn't done dishes in 4 weeks!!!! But, when I HAD to rub Vick's Vapor Rub under my nose so that I could CLEAN the fridge, I just totally lost it. I went down to the second living room and told my father to get off his butt and do the laundry! I then looked at the dogs, (two PIT BULLS!), and decided they needed baths...But...They don't like to take baths...So...I put them in a wire kennel out back, poured Dawn Dish detergent on them through the cage and used the hose, on LOW, to spray them off...I know, it's sounds horrible, and the vicious barking would make you think I was killing them, but they were wagging their tails! I swear it! And, the neighbor came out to the fence and said I was pretty brilliant to have thought of it! She said my mother used to try to wash them in the baby pool, but they'd jump out, run around and roll in the dirt!
So, now, 8 hours later, I'm finally getting my card posted. (Mark and I spent all this time cleaning, and you can't even tell, except for the dogs!)
The image was stamped in Noir and sponged in with a light brown distress ink...I think it's called Tea stain.
Next, I ran the Old World Gold 100lb premium paper through the TIM HOLTZ folder and combined it with the dp. I added in the lace and ribbon to soften it's harsh look.
Finished size: 5" square
Total time to complete: under 35 minutes

Well ... I think you had a really rough day, so you need some more paper therapy, girl. I am so sorry for everything you went through this morning, but your card is REALLY very lovely indeed. I have about 1/10 of the cards created that I need for Christmas, so I guess I better get busy. :( Kelly

What a rough day Faith. Sometimes when I hear friends talk about what they go through w/ their parents, I think I'm glad that I don't have to worry about that. But I miss mine so much, but am so thankful that neither of them had to go through this terrible part of aging.
Anyway, your card it fabulous. Love it in the browns. Faith, treat yourself to some more paper therapy.

Wow, sounds like you had a day of it!! Great idea for doggie baths... I wouldn't give a pit bull a bath unless I knew that they were REALLY friendly! I'm used to my little 20 pound dogs, and they are strong enough for me to handle right now! LOL Anyway, I love your card! It's just gorgeous with all the embossing and layers and pretty extras!!
