Did I say I loved the IC artist this week??? Well, so much, I had to double up and create another project. This time I took my inspiration from this sewing masterpiece! I am editing to add, it appears the link does not work...it was the Golden Gate Bridge.
This is also for Kard Krazy, Tag Tuesday Challenge, to create a tag with an image that carries from the front to the back. Well, the beautiful Golden Gate bridge seemed like a good choice for the front/back. I added the picture of the back of the tag in PhotoShop.
I used the Inkadinkadoo image stamping it onto blue cs with Tim Holtz DI Spiced Marigold and embossed to give it strength to cut out the towers. The wave paper is October Afternoon's 'Seaside' paper as is the description of the Pacific Ocean on the back side. The hilly background photograph scrap paper is from WUBE. The adorable tiny Vanagon is Rubber Soul that I colored with Copics, cutting out the windows. My very handsome surfer dude is DH...he is (was) a long boarder from way back. I stamped Remember at the bottom and tied the tag with a bit of journey trim.
The back carries over the end of the bridge with facts about the Pacific Ocean and a piece of vintage postcard.
Thanks so much Colleen (Smoatsmom) for suggesting this amazing sewing artist. It truly was a delight to discover her work. And I appreciate your comments.

Whoa Susan, this is just way cool! Love the Golden Gate Bridge with the VW bus. Then you go and put you DH on here and WOW! Say, we are gallery neighbors today. How fun is that! Love your tags. Pieces of art. TFS :0)

Goodness, there is just so much detail in there to look at and admire. The fruit on the back, is that part of the postcard or DP? I love that it matches the colour of the van.

What neat collage-type tags! I am so glad you played along in that IC, and glad you liked the artist and her sewing abilities. Her work / website was too good to keep to myself! Thanks for the shout-out.
