I created this card on Saturday for the Inspiration challenge. By the time I was done with it, my Internet connection was broken. Time Warner won't be able to come out until Wednesday to check it out. Not happy about that!!! I am sitting in Chick-Fil-A working (and freezing...why is it so cold in here?) and thought I upload it really quick.
My inspiration piece was the ruffled scarf in this picture.
I stamped the gorgeous new Rose image from Crafty Secrets on X-Press It Blending card (LOVE IT) and colored it with Copic Markers. Then I embossed a rectangle frame over it with Nestabilities. The edges of the panel were sponged first with Antique Linen, then with Vintage Photo distress ink. The panel was stitched to a bit smaller black cardstock piece. The buttons on the top left are from my Mom's stash and were stitched to the layers with waxed Linen.
The Thrift Store paper was sponged with Vintage Photo.
The Ivory silk white ribbon was misted with a water/Vintage PHoto distress reinker mix for a more antique look. The green button is also from my Mom's collection (I took all her buttons last time I was home! )
You can find out more details and a close up of the coloring in this blog post.
Thanks so much for looking! Have a wonderful day! Stay warm. LOL
Hugs and smiles
