Joan, what a great challenge for today. DD and I went antiquing yesterday so it got me in the mood to try a vintage type of card....that and your gorgeous card!
I didn't have any lace but I had some netting that I was going to make dish scrubbers out of. First I stamped a solid type flower using very vanilla then clear ep them. Taped down the netting and sponged over with more very vanilla. Clear eb this too because I stupidly put this all on a white card and you couldn't see it very well. The clear ep allowed me to sponged some color over top.
Took an image I drew this weekend and tried to make it look old. I even colored it with crayons. Tried some crackle, then glossy over top but the glossy didn't crackle. Guess you need paint. Then I rubbed some walnut stain over that. Still didn't like the results.
Finally I taped some netting over top and sponged tea dye. Made a frame sponging the inside edges.
Put these two panels on a white card sponged with tea dye. Added two buttons and a ribbon bow tied the kittie 747 way.
Well, not sure this looks all that vintage, but had fun anyway....TFL :0)
