Hi everybody. This card was inspired by some very delicious cupcake recipes I found on the internet. One was called "Blue Velvet Cupcakes" and the other was Blue Hawaii Pineapple Upside Down Cupcakes. For making the Blue Velvet ones you use Wilton's Royal Blue and a tad of Violet Food Coloring Gel. It is the most awesome shade of blue and you frost them with cream cheese frosting! Yum!!
I used tea dye ink on lots of tinsel glitter on these cupcakes. The cupcake is three layers for dimension.
As usual-lots of punches and die cuts on this one.
Pamzi-this card took me 6 hours to make!!!

OK. Now I want cake. Your fault! Cute cupcakes Bearzi! 6 hours you say... And that probably doesn't include going shopping for more new punchez! Fun, fun, fun border punch! Love that the tea dye ink makes those cupcakes look good enough to eat! RYPH

Now, I see you called these cupcakes plain in your title - but they don't look so plain to me - I don't think you know how to do plain (I am really surprised it is even in your vocabulary). Those cupcakes sound awesome - I think I may try them myself! I don't do much baking but they sound so unusual - now where can I get that special coloring in this small town......
Six hours sounds like a lot, but the more I study this card, it really seems about right. I think I counted 9 layers but I might have missed a few, at least 16 punchez, embossing, layers of magic dust, etc. It was worth it - it is fantastic!
