Great challenge Joan! I am so ribbon challenged anyway, so it was fun to find a way to use it without my easy bow thingy. hehe .....details...
DD said she needed a card with a cupcake, by Thursday. So I made her a card with a cupcake, but not before running it by her several times before gluing it altogether. She is one hard cookie to please let me tell you. I drew two different tops. She really didn't like either one. So she went to the cupcake store and sent me a picture of what she wanted.
She liked my cup cake "paper", which is metal repair tape on cs then crimped. I colored it with alcohol inks. Added the strip of black and white and a hand made paper rose I tried awhile back and added sparkles to it. That was another request, she wanted lots of sparkles or glitter and of course clear eb.
Finally drew just the right frosting top, colored it with a copic marker, versa marked and used holographic ep on it.
Punched out a "G" for Gabby (who is her friend that the card is for), the dots and a heart from the left over crimped metal repair tape stuff for decoration. Since today we were to use ribbon but not in a bow or knot, I took a piece of ribbon, fan folded it, sewed it together, shaped into a circle and glued the edges together. NOW I didn't run this part by her. Hope she likes it!
Put my cupcake on a card that I stamped the Mutnik square border on and clear ep, another request by DD. Oh yeah, I also added a little piece of dripped frosting for fun.
Well, hope you and DD likes my card.....TFL :0)

Oh, yummy cupcake! Sweet ribbon flower and I like that drip of icing that has fallen. That gives it such a 'real' factor. A '3', huh? Very funny.

This has to be the CUTEST cupcake EVER! DD and Gabby will LOVE it! Love the frosting that dripped and that you added your signature checks to the liner! Like your complicated sounding "cherry" on top too!

This is a wonderful work of art! I love how you had to have your DD's approval and thanks for the tip about the metallic repair tape. This is a great cupcake made even better because it's not fattening!
