Whoohoo!!! Da Mudder asked me to make a sample card for her Teapot Tuesday Challenge...I am doubly excited cause she is featuring a teapot from here in Texas!!! A while back we were driving to Houston and drove by a huge water tank thingy that someone had made into a giant teapot. Don't ya know I yelled for my DH to STOP THE CAR...he thought I was having some kind of an attack!!! Anyway, I got the pictures and sent them to Cindy...I just knew she would have the same attack I had...LOL!!! Anyway....here is the link to the Teapot Tueday Challenge...be sure to check out the story and the destination for this weeks cards!!!
My card features the girls from Petticoat Junction...Penelope, Blossom, and Bea....The Penny Black image was stamped with Versafine Onyx Black, embossed with clear ep, and watercolored with Tombow markers. The little flowers on the hats were popped up and sewing and piercing was done around the edges. Lace, felt flowers, button, and a scalloped border finish it off.
Thanks for looking and be sure to gather up all your petticoats, bloomers, and tea and come to the party!!!!

This is just perfect! Those three girls are the cutest ever - turned in toes, sunbonnets and adorable dresses. THe lace, the flower, bits of sponging - just right! And of course the teapot is wonderful as well.

Now can you blame Old Uncle Grump for not being able to stay mad at his three little grand daughters! I don't think there are any cuter little grand daughters on the face of the earth....well, there's probably some SCS grandmas that would beg to differ but these three are high on the list! Tee Hee!
I can just see their special tearoom in the water tank! Snort! Thank you so much Joan for sending me the teapot picture and for helping out with this awesome card! It rocks!

I wondered who the Texan was who snapped that picture. I see it on my trip to Marlin once a month (I do a prison ministry there)... When I saw the photo, I thought how did that Colorado gal get this picture in Texas??? These little gals are adorable. Glad they got all gussied up for the BIG tea party this week.

Well,I'd say the girls are prettied up mighty fine! Those buttons, bows and bloomers could just cause ole' Grumps to have to take some extra meds to get his breathin' back to normal. Serves him right, old coot!
