I'm trying to tone down my layers and am working on some CAS cards....it's really hard for me to leave off three extra layers and oodles of embellishments, but I've noticed that my simple cards sell as well (or better!) than the ultra complicated ones.

In my market, I can sell this one for $4. For cards with more embellishments, or custom cards, I charge $5. More than a Hallmark card nowadays (have you noticed they've dropped their prices??), but it's hand created and one-of-a-kind. Although I make several cards of the same design/layout at a time, none are exactly alike.

Thanks for your kind comments....I wish I had the huge S/U flourish stamp, but this one will have to do for now!

I completely understand ... moving away from "layers" seems 'un-natural' for me in most instances.
