Today's technique challenge was to make a card with a flower that wasn't purchased or made with a flower punch. I made mine by gathering some lace ribbon. After I took the photo, I realized I should add some leaves. I'll do that before mailing it. This was my first attempt at using two colors to sponge the edges of my white layers. Ooohh, I'm getting brave - LOL!

Don't you just love that embossing folder for the edge? Looks great! And brave you, sponging TWO colors! I think we need to call the ink police!

Your first attempt at using two colors on the edge of the white panels?!? Are you sure? You did such an excellent job with this. I must say, you chose wisely, the combo of the two colors really sets the panels apart from the bg and border. using pink only would have blended a bit into the border, and the purple along may have been too stark against the pink. The combo is very lovely. And that lace flower is beautiful and perfectly placed. I can tell a lot of thought went into this gorgeous addition to your gallery. Thanks so much for sharing... and now I too have learned that two colors can be better than one!!!
