I hope you're glad you opened the red X thumbnail!
Because under this red X thumbnail you will find a card done for the CAS challenge in which we were to make a Mother'd Day or May Flowers card.
Now I'm off to see what is behind other red X thumbnails!
Thanks for looking!
-Prismacolor pencils, baby oil and paper stumps were used to color the image using the Gamsol technique found in the resources section here at SCS. Baby oil replaces the Gamsol.
-The flowers are popped up with foam dots from the dollar storeÂ…thanks to JudyTulloch for those.
-After cutting out the flowers I colored the edge with a black marker for more definition.
-After embossing the flourish I used the Scor-Pal to emboss over the line left by the embossing folder. Rather rolling completely over the folder I back it out again and avoided a second folder line.
-The pearls are attached with Diamond Glaze (any lacquer product will work). To make the process fast and easy I squeeze a drop of lacquer onto a waxed paper (I repurpose the paper that stickers and labels are purchased on), touch the end of a large corsage pin to the lacquer then to the back of the gem which picks it up, position it on the image and press down with a finger, there is a little time to slide the gem into position if needed before it sticks tight.
-The inside is embossed at the top of the white paper and as you can see I used the border punch on the bottom.
Tools: Cuttlebug and Ornamental Flourish and Swiss Dots embossing folders, Martha Stewart Simple Scallop border punch, Scor-Pal, corsage pin, paper stumps

Oh, Roxie, I love this - I, too, am so glad I checked out what was under the red x - but when I saw it was a card by Roxie, I knew there was another winner! Must try the Gamsol technique some day. Still feel like a beginner amongst pros like yourself
