2Sketches4You: Sketch #51
I started this card by embossing a banana colored piece of cardstock with the Swiss Dots Embossing Folder. Then, I cut out a white rectangle, embossed the edge using a square Nestability and moving my paper to get all of the edges done. Then I inked the edges with yellow ink and attached the lace to the back of the rectangle with super glue. Then I mitered the corners of the lace to create a nice framed effect. Then I layered my floral patterned paper and another white pre-stamped rectangle over this. To create the main panel, I stamped the word Spring off to the side with Versamark ink and then went over it with banana embossing powder. Next, I stamped the flower stem and pot with Versamark and green embossing powder on the main panel and on a scrap of patterned paper. I also stamped the flower head onto the main panel and on a scrap of white cardstock with lilac embossing powder. Then I colored everything in with chalks and cut out the flower head and pot from the scrap papers. Finally, I adhered the cut out images to the card front with pop dots.
