Piercing was done on the navy upper corners and across the mustard panel on the top and bottom.
For the Inspiration challenge I was inspired by this sunflower on navy background.
-Alcohol inks were used for the polished stone technique. Here are directions from the SCS resources.
-The Faux brads are circles from a tag Cuttlebug die that I glue to the card– the perfect brad every time! I use the CB die because it rounds the edges like a real brad. These are very easy to pick up with a straight pin dipped in glue then touch the back of the circle and it’ll pick it up, now place it on the card by pressing down with the finger – it will allow you to move if needed before the glue dries.
-The flourish accents are negative pieces cut with the Cuttlebug die called Vintage, they are glued to the glossy paper with Diamond Glaze.
-Ink distressing is done on the Sanded layer and also a small amount on the blue border; I used the Ranger applicator and sponge for this procedure.
-Prismacolor pencils, baby oil and paper stumps were used to color the image using the Gamsol technique found in the resources section here at SCS. Baby oil replaces the Gamsol.
-After cutting the sunflowers out I colored the edges with a black marker and attached to the card with foam tape.
Stampin Up Sanded was stamped on the yellow and envelope, Hero Arts Delicate Fabric was stamped randomly on the edges of the cross panel.
ENVELOPE:
I cut a sticky to size for masking off the center of the envelope and stamped the edges with the Sanded image.
Tools: Cuttlebug, Tiny Tags die, Vintage die, Stampin Up mat pack, Bazzill piercer, cutting scissors, Ranger: applicator, felt, sponge, paper stumps, sticky note
