Hi! This Mini Accordian Scrapbook was made for today's Free 4 All challenge: Let's Book It.
After this week's fiascos including a dog on cat attack, a crying jag in front of the neighbors because I was throwing Dog's lead into the garbage, and my vow to NEVER get another dog, WE DID! Can you believe it??? I was contacted by our groomer who said, "I know you said, 'Never again, about a boxer. But, will you go look at one for me?'" I decided to go and look at several litters in town. All the puppies were sweet. Their parents were all beautiful. However, when we got to the last house, a magnificent animal met us at the gate. And, he was shaking his entire body, not just his tail. Wow! He LOOKED and acted like our beloved Dog. He was GORGEOUS! I heard Mark gasp, and we looked at each other. I said, "If the puppies are half as beautiful as he is, we're getting one!" We got into the house, and the only puppy available was a cutie with bad markings, legs that were too long, was not a fawn like the sire, and had a soulful expression. She looked Mark in the eye, and he sighed. He said, "The runt is even sweet. Do you have the checkbook?" Needless to say, we took her. She's only 10 weeks old, house broken, and ADORES Markie. How could I say "No!" to that? Besides, I felt like she was perfect. Like Dog would approve. I looked at her AKC papers, and saw, with a dawning realization that she was born on the day that the vet told us to start preparing to lose Dog. It was a sign. I do NOT ignore signs.
I took over 100 photos yesterday of Markie and his new boxer, Kittie Kat. Yes, her name is Kittie for short. Aren't we original? LOL You can see Speedy the Cat in the first photo checking out the situation!
The book accordian was made by scoring a 8 1/2" x 11" piece of cardstock every 2 1/4" along the long side. Next, it was cut into 2 strips 2 3/4" long. I then pieced the strips together, using just 2 of the sections of one of the strips and layering them together. The front and back of the book are Spellbinders die cuts. I used several sneak peek stamp sets for the inside.

Never again...famous last words...huh? I don't know much about animals, but this is ONLY a puppy? ONLY 10 weeks old? How BIG will she get? I also believe in "signs" and "love at first sight" so I am sure she will bring much JOY into your hearts and home. Oh, and AWESOME mini accordian scrapbook and photos too! ONLY 1 hour and 2 minutes? WOW!

Great accordian scrapbook! I know how it feels about having a pet go to heaven. My beloved beagle (or as I called him, my baby angel) passed away from cancer in 2008. He had been diagnosed earlier but with alot of prayer was cured from that one. But...you must be careful what you pray for. I asked for 2 more years and exactly 2 years later the cancer came back.

I love your book, Faith! How wonderful to welcome Kitty into your family. Some things are just meant to be, and this appears to be it. Markie looks so happy. I think you and Mark made the right decision, for ALL of you!

Oh YAY! I am so happy for you all! LOVE Boxers! When I was born, my family had a white boxer named Sugar. One day maybe we'll go the Boxer route again. What a beautiful little gift for Markie to treasure (that means the accordian book AND little Kittie...!)
