 | | I made this card for this month's Verve Project Parade, Fun With Flowers. I knew instantly what I would do when I read the description for this month's project. I have always wanted to try this flower pot card. It was fairly easy to follow the tutorial. I knew that I wanted to paper piece the flowers, as my coloring skills need some work! Moxie Fab World is running a paper piecing challenge right now, so I can sneak this one in there too. I thought my gradient colored paper would look pretty here. Finally, Lisa Henke posted a tutorial on pleating and I wanted to give that a try. I scored, punched and pleated my paper to resemble eyelet lace. Caardvarks is hosting a challenge to use lace on your card. I don't really think my pleated eyelet lace with qualify, but you never know! I say you have to work with what you have!
Thanks for looking! |
