This is for this week's Queen for the Day, honoring Pat Smethers, one of generous stampers who so kindly comments on and encourages many, many people at SCS.
Pat's style is very, very detailed -- it's lovely, but it doesn't come to me naturally, so in CASEing her, I pretty much have to go step by step as she did to try to reach a similar look. I hope this one isn't too much "copied" rather than CASED. (But imitation is the truest form of flattery).
this is the card I chose: ~Rockin' Robin~ by patsmethers at Splitcoaststampers
I kept her color scheme and layout, and pretty much did everything else she did, substituting what I have on hand for the materials she used. Technically, I changed the bird to a butterfly and moved the location of it to the other side, used different DP, different sentiment, and different ribbons.

What a beautiful card! Silly girl, you cased Pat's card wonderfully well. It's Pat's card for sure, but it's your spin on it that makes for a fabulously cased card! This is wonderful. I love 'em both!

Your card is wonderful. It's exactly what my idea of CASE is - put your own stamp (pun intended) on HRH the Queen's card and that's exactly what you did. I love your version, it's beautiful.

Sandy- Oh my! I *love* your out-of-the-box butterfly! This is gorgeous! I love how your dotted ribbon on the little clip is so perfect to accentuate the detailing on your CB piece! Wonderful mix of color and texture. The black framing makes your DP sing! Thanks so much for adding your work to QFTD. Your card is beautiful, and you made my day special. Bless your heart!
