I stamped the leaf image with versamark and clear embossed it on glossy cs. I wrapped a rubberband around my brayer and inked it up with Tempting Turquoise to create the darker-inked distressed stripes at the top of my image panel. I then sponged So Saffron and Tempting Turquoise over the entire piece of cardstock and wiped over the leaf image with a paper towel to reveal the white leaves (emboss resist).
Thanks for another terrific website for our inspiration today, Stef! It's a beautiful Saturday here (the sun is shining----yaaaay!) and a friend and I are off to a couple estate sales, but I'll be baaaaack to comment!

Wow, what a work of art. Thanks for telling us how you created that panel, as it's awesome and I may just try something like that some time soon. Gorgeous all the way.

I can't really sponge or brayer, but I am loving seeing what other people have done today. Your background panel is just fantastic, with the white leaves and rubber-band strips, and the pop of the yellow bird makes the whole card just sing.
