Wendy's great challenge today was to make a card based on a favourite musical. Well, Little Shop of Horrors didn't lend itself to a very useful card, and I don't really have the stuff to make a florist's shop, which would have been useful. I thought of trying the Joseph's Coat technique, as my last attempt *fell* into the bin. But along with Little Shop, our most watched musical is My Fair Lady. All Eliza wanted was a room somewhere, with a great big chair. That meant I could comfortably combine with the FTTC59 challenge to use faux techniques. I also tried to use muted masculine colours, such as are seen in Professor Higgins' house.
5 1/2" base, green Bazzill, then some Basic Grey with faux stitching. Image is from Flourishes Chairs for You, and faux silk technique. I stamped it on tissue paper with black ink, heat set and coloured with watercolour pencils. I stamped the plain white card with Weathered in Weathered Wood before gluing the tissue on. Edges distressed, sponged with brown and layered on more green Bazzill. Basic Grey layer has faux stitching round the edges. Sentiment is Woodware, cut with Spellbinders tags. Photo corners, paper flowers with gold microbead centres and a velvet leaf finish it off.

This is really one of my most favorites images, yet I fail to use it more often. Your chair is wonderful and the dp is wonderfully elegant and so perfect with your chair.

Oh, this card is a perfect representation of My Fair Lady!! Great colors and a super layout. I just love how you used microbeads as the flower centers. Super work, Sabrina
