 | | My second card for the WT challengeÂ’s five anniversary, happy birthday is stamped on the inside.
-Prismacolor pencils, baby oil and paper stumps were used to color the image using the Gamsol technique found in the resources section here at SCS. Baby oil replaces the Gamsol.
-Sentiment was computer generated using Microsoft Word circle printing.
-The paper is from a card kit booklet and the red has marks on it for the placement of a heart so I had to find ways to cover the white lines both on the right border; the flourish covered the top line and the cross panel covered the lower line. IÂ’m just not into cutting out printed images for making cards but wanted to put the paper to use.
-To build a base so the cross panel lies even on the card I cut a small rectangle of the black polka dot and white and glued them on the ends.
-The circle panel is mounted on foam tape on each side of the cross panel and build up with cardstock on the center so it doesnÂ’t cave in during the mail process.
-The nail heads are attached with Diamond Glaze (any lacquer product will work). To make the process fast and easy I squeeze a drop of lacquer onto a waxed paper (I repurpose the paper that stickers and labels are purchased on), touch the end of a large corsage pin to the lacquer then to the back of the gem which picks it up, position it on the image and press down with a finger, there is a little time to slide the gem into position if needed before it sticks tight.
Tools: corsage pin, Nestabilities, Cuttlebug and Sizzix Swirly die, Bazzill piercer for flower brad hole, computer and printer, paper stumps
