Well, since I got to Boston a little early this time to help Cindy set up, I took a walk around the hotel where the crossword puzzle challenge is taking place, and what do you know – there’s a Scrabble tournament going on in the ballroom across the hall. I even found a board where someone used the word “T-E-A” (If you play it on a triple word space, you get 9 points—whoopee!). Now I just have to convince Chris to stretch his legs and take a walk around the Scrabble tournament, so Crisaane and I can make him get a Clue. (No, wait, that was a different teaparty). How handy that the Scrabble player is drinking tea, too, and looking at the Sunday crossword puzzle while waiting for his opponent to make a play. If that doesn't wake Chris out of his brainblock, nothing will.
(Do you think this is the first card in the history of SCS where the NY Times Sunday Crossword puzzle is an accessory? I cut it out and photocopied it onto cardstock)

Oooh, I love it! Scrabble AND crosswords!!! What fun we're going to have. I love the red and black combo - very striking and the crossword grid is great (great minds thinking alike!!!). Wonderfully done.

Hey Sandy! What a great sample card you made! Thanks so much....you know what's funny....after I wrote my story and made my card, I found my self panicking thinking did I make a teapot crossword card instead of a teapot scrabble card???? The look the same to me....you know.....squares, numbers and spelling! Hee!
Me thinks Chris won't make it down the hall, he is a little locked in his brainlock! I love how you got a nice sentiment on this card...what a great little invitation to have tea with a friend....or 42,000 of them! Hee!
