I thought I would show you a Close up of my Altered Art project that I made for my DD1's birthday last week - remembering this is the daughter who is not 'girly girl' or a 'handmade' kind of girl! I needed a gift box for a pendant I had made earlier and she loved, so decided I would make one...and used the Layers of Color New Release art stamp set 'Joyful Noise' : http://www.layersofcolor.com/store/i...roducts_id=224
who can resist this gorgeous butterfly!!
The butterfly is stamped on white CS and coloured with Chalks and a Blender Pen and then had Kindy Glitz added. I made that beautiful pin with the supplies that my lovely and dear friend Sabrina (okimom2girlz) sent me a while back - thank you Sabrina- they are gorgeous and I am using them sparingly! LOL!. It could not be more perfect for the body of the butterfly! This is placed into a centre of a recycled doily and the wings popped up with a foam dot under each wing and finished off with the sentiment that has been cut out from the Joyful Noise images.....this was again simple and I am happy with the results - no more buying gift boxes for me!
Thank you for looking and for those lovely comments you leave me here an on my Blog: http://lovelylindascraftcentral.blogspot.com
You can see close ups of this Altered Art there as well! {{{hugs}}}

I love your butterfly! It is a neat idea to use your beads as the body of the butterfly. Plus- the colors you used for the wings are beautiful!
TFS!
