Hi! I made this card for today's sketch challenge, using a piece of grungeboard that I had dolled up yesterday for Teapot Tuesday! So, I think that this card meets both challenges!
For out teaparty yesterday, we went to London for the premier of the new movie Alice in Wonderland. Well, thinking about wonderland and thinking about London both made me think of crowns; and indeed the teapot we drew inspiration from had a lid that reminded me of a royal crown. So, one thing led to another, and I decided to use the crown from yesterday on a birthday card using today's sketch challenge.
I painted the crown with acrylic paint in white, added half pearls and raised it on stampin' dimensionals. I ran three pieces of cs through my Big Shot using various cuttlebug folders for the panels. For the background (which brings to mind wonderland) I used a marble cube from Stampendous and randomly stamped the sides of the cube in the matching colors onto blank cs. Everything is mounted on MFP speedy the cat black linen cs.
TFL and have a wonderful day!

Your crown is awesome. You had a lot of steps to do for this card! I really like the dry embossed layers as well. Speedy the cat black is my FAV black!

You're so right about the crown - when I checked the sneak peek I got my crown stamp out, but decided to wait for the full story. Your blinged-up crown is perfect for the teapot.
