This is another one I did for the Featured Stamper challenge. Congrats again, Laurie! While strolling through her gallery, I noticed a lot of butterflies. So I thought these new Innovative Stamp Creations eclectic butterflies would be perfect. I finally chose Laurie's Firefly Inspired to case. I kept the butterflies and used similar colors, but changed the images and layout and left out the little angel image.
For my card, I stamped three butterflies, colored with markers and cut out. I cut two of the butterflies in half and attached two right sides together to make a profile butterfly. They were also scored down the middle and foam tape placed under the wings for a little dimension.
The bashful blue and celery layers and backgrounds were stamped with the Netting image and also a silhouette image from Nature's Silhouette I. A little sponging was added around the edges as well as a light edging with a black marker. The sentiment was cut with a Spellbinders long rectangle. I stamped the flourishy first letter once more, used a 1 inch circle punch to cut it out and edged it with a marker. The white ribbon was lightly colored with markers and a water brush.
Thanks so much for looking? My blog:The Write Stuff. Sorry! I had to delete a bunch of really old posts from my blog & this is one of them.
