These little birdies looked so cold that I made them some hats. Didn't have one small enough for the little one, so she got a scarf instead......details....
First off, all stamps used here are from Rubbernecker Stamps . I have been wanting to use this frozen branch one for awhile but couldn't come up with a scene until today.
Love the challenge. DH has taught me well. Never have an even number of anything, he says. SO, on my card today, I have 1 frozen branch, 1 flower, 3 birds and 3 houses or you could call it 1 row of houses.
Stamped, clear eb the branch and houses, colored with prisma pencils and gamsol. Put liquid applique on the branch for snow effect. Used acrylic paint for the sky.
On a separate piece of cs, stamped and eb the birdies, colored same way, then versa marked and clear ep. Drew their little hats and scarf, colored with copics, then versa marked and clear ep. Cut these all out and put on the branch popping up the tops of them. Put liquid applique on the balls of the hats.
Sponged rich razzleberry on some white cs, put a layer of black cs on top then my scene. Put this on a kraft card.
Took white acrylic paint and splattered the snow storm on. Might have turned the storm into a blizzard! hehe
Added the flower, which I probably should have left off, but I just got them today and thought they were really cool. Put the buttons in the center of the flower then put on the card.
Well, hope this doesn't make you tooooo cold! If it does, let me know, I'll make, I mean, draw you a hat! lol...............TFL :0)

Isn't this sweet? I love the little hats you gave the chilly birdies And look how they gaze so adoringly at that cute trio of snug houses. So fun!! Great job "being odd" today!

This is adorable. I love your birds and their little hats. I wish my birds out on my favorite tree had little hats on their heads to keep them warm. Your coloring is awesome. This is one of my favorites!!! tfs, sis.
