I've been chided lately for still doing winter/holiday/snowy cards when everyone is ready to think spring! So I did a spring-y card yesterday, and now I'm back to a holiday card, (Christmas obsessed!) Actually, this is the first time I'm doing holiday cards in Jan/Feb in preparation for the holiday season 10 months away! This was a very labor intensive card, so I'm not going to making 100 of them, but I will do perhaps 5 or 6, so a few lucky people will get one, (providing you don't send the challenge police after me! LOL!)
It's for today's Ways to Use it Challenge, #257, to use odd numbers of elements on our cards. So I've used one poinsettia flower, 3 layers of CS, 3 strips of ribbon, and stamped the sentiment (Merry C'mas, what else!) 3 times. I've stamped it 3 times inside too.
The poinsettia is stamped on CS vellum, colored and debossed from the back, cut out, slits cut in it to give it depth and dimension, and popped up on a softly colored piece of DP. The center is highligted with Stickles. That's it! Took me about 3 hours to make this card, although subsequent ones should go somewhat faster.
Thanks for looking! I hope you like it! (Hey, there's no snow on it! LOL!)
Hugggs!
Maddy

I won't be chiding you! I need motivation to keep with my measly 5 cards a month commitment for the CCC10 challenge. That poinsettia certainly looks fantastic!
Oh, Maddy, your poinsettia just OUTSTANDING!! I love what the debossing adds and your ribbon framing is wonderful! I might have to try this with the Flourishes poinsettia. Thanks for the inspiration!

I believe several people did Christmas cards today. :-) I think this is one of the prettier poisettia stamps I have seen. Why do you want another one? This turned out gorgeous! And now that I look at it...I believe I have this stamp! Will have to hunt for it. The debossing really added some good texture and I love your ribbon treatment! TFS this beauty!!!
WOWZERS Maddy! This is a beauty! Your texture and depth, your colors, well, everything is beautiful! You are inspiring me to finish a Christmas book I started .... If you come south for a visit, we can do Christmas! ;-)
