I've been chided lately for still doing winter/holiday/snowy cards when everyone is ready to think spring! So I did a spring-y card yesterday, and now I'm back to a holiday card, (Christmas obsessed!) Actually, this is the first time I'm doing holiday cards in Jan/Feb in preparation for the holiday season 10 months away! This was a very labor intensive card, so I'm not going to making 100 of them, but I will do perhaps 5 or 6, so a few lucky people will get one, (providing you don't send the challenge police after me! LOL!)
It's for today's Ways to Use it Challenge, #257, to use odd numbers of elements on our cards. So I've used one poinsettia flower, 3 layers of CS, 3 strips of ribbon, and stamped the sentiment (Merry C'mas, what else!) 3 times. I've stamped it 3 times inside too.
The poinsettia is stamped on CS vellum, colored and debossed from the back, cut out, slits cut in it to give it depth and dimension, and popped up on a softly colored piece of DP. The center is highligted with Stickles. That's it! Took me about 3 hours to make this card, although subsequent ones should go somewhat faster.
Thanks for looking! I hope you like it! (Hey, there's no snow on it! LOL!)
Hugggs!

Beautiful poinsettia, I like the color you achived here, it's rather misty looking with the vellum. Wonderful job with the debossing and it looks very nice on the background paper.
Girl it can take me three hours to finish a card and all I'm down to for the last two hours is which embellishment to use...when retirment comes your way...there is no hurry!

Oh Maddy, you've just outdone yourself with this one. Yikes, that's one fabulous poinsettia and your ribbon design is over the top, girl. So labor intensive!

Stunning! That poinsettia is drop-dead gorgeous, and I LOVE how you've woven the gold ribbon. I have one of those slot punches and am not quite sure what to do with it - but you've inspired me now, so I'll be trying it out soon!
