Hi to everyone, how are all the New Year Resolutions going? The only one I made was to "declutter" my house, which I've started. Does this mean more room for card stuff? LOL.
This week's card for the Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge: http://priscillastyles.blogspot.com/
I've called "Midnight Mosaic". I wanted to do something different to "pretty ", and to go more dramatic with texture.
The Centre image is an embossed black and white with red pearl RAK, surrounded by a textured diamond shape that has been wet embossed with black embossing powder, then on top embossed again with white embossing powder. This has then been set on a white EF frame shaded with black, and a turquouse Die cut shape with centre shaded RAK with red pearl that echoes the main shape, has been added as an embellishment. A red strip of textured DP is placed on an black EF, which has pattern details picked out with Diamond Stickles and white ink shading.
The borders are turquoise EF strips shaded with black with a red strip dividing the two panels, and finished with red pearls. Red shaded Vintage corners finish off the details on this card.
I had fun with the multi-colour wet embossing, and plan to do more. Thank you for all your interest and comments when you visit my Gallery. I look forward to them.

Oh I LOVE your new year's resolution! I'm going to change mine to that too. I can ALWAYS use more room for crafty stuff. One of my favorite things about making cards is adding texture and yours really has it all. I love the the colors, layers and TEXTURE! Michelle
