I am so excited about today's TLC. The scratch and sniff technique was new to me and I just couldn't resist using this fabulous Ralph Waldo Emerson quote: HAPPINESS is a perfume which you cannot pour on someone without getting some on YOURSELF.
My beauty is applying perfume to her pulse point, Lavender is the scent. The perfume bottle in her hand is filled with that heavenly (at least to me) smell. She is a Stamp Francisco image inked with Memento Tuxedo Black onto GP white cs. The quote is an Impression Obsession stamp. I used ChalkBox Lipstick Red. The scratch is essential lavender oils mixed with Tim Holtz distress embossing powder in weathered wood. A tiny red satin ribbon runs across the top and on the inside is a perfume bottle from B Line Designs inked with the Memento again.
The lavender scent reminds me of the time when Andy was about 5 and I had a surgery that required me to stay overnight. When DH brought him to visit me the next day, Andy told me that he had gone home and 'smelled my cow shirt' (my flannel nightshirt that had cows jumping over the moon). He was so sweet and tender in how my smell comforted him while I was absent from the home. I treasure this memory.
Happy New week everyone, thanks so much for taking the time to comment on my TLC and I believe my first CAS card!

Wonderful scentiment and images, both inside and out. I do like my perfume - but I can't wear it for work, which really means not wearing it much at all, or it lingers on my clothes .
There was one very windy blustery day a while back when I was walking out to the bus stop and I could smell lavender in the air. In November!! It was just the wind bruising the dead flower heads on a clump of lavender in a garden. I am sure there is a parable in there somewhere - if I weren't preoccupied with the lack of water in the kitchen tap I'd find it.
This is one of those special 'mom' memories that stay with us forever and light a spot in our hearts. The image and her perfume 'dabbing' are so feminine. Beautiful.
