3-D is my weakest area in paper crafting, but I gained a lot of confidence doing this project and with my perpetual calendar project. I cheated a little. I used a card I made for an OCC sketch challenge last May and mounted it in a shadow box. I also made this a week before Christmas and gave it to my youngest DD for Christmas. She loved it!
I had this shadow box from IKEA for a few months, and knew this is what I wanted to do with it. I used Basic Grey rub ons on the glass to enforce the illusion of depth. We love the shadow of the rub on 'Blessed' that is cast when the sun shines on the shadow box where it hangs on Rachel's wall.
