Simplify Tile Coasters (close-up)
Added to Favorite

Photo Details
Poster: KimberlyinMN

I made these coasters today following the tutorial found here:

Photo Tiles Tutorials at Splitcoaststampers

I printed the sentiment on tissue paper and adhered that to the tile along with the modge podge. Then I stamped the flowers, grass and dragonfly with Stazon. Then.... I used Palette ink and used the direct to paper (although I guess direct to TILE would be more appropriate) and slid the ink pad over the tile. I was trying to camouflage the tissue paper a little more. (What I really should have done was STAMP the sentiment, although I didn't have that particular phrase.) Oh well, I like the results. My hubby said they look like I bought them at a store. (I still have to seal them and adhere the cork on the bottom.)

I decided to not use a photo because I didn't have any pictures that I thought "everyone" would want to see. :-)

...sure its got a catchy beat, but can you stamp to it?

Fabulous! That's a perfect sentiment you used as well. I made these and stamped directly onto the tile and then lightly misted the tile with a sealer about 5 times and they turned out great. That way you don't have to use the tissue paper or modge podge.
