Challenge found here: Forums at Splitcoaststampers which is to use the dryer sheet technique. Jana honored me with chosing the technique inspired by a card of mine using the same technique. I feel so special.
So, I stamped the flowers in basic black, and use the Elegant Eggplant and So saffron markers to color them in. Took some time, but worth it. I don't usually use markers to color in full images because of the lines it creates, but it's perfect with this technique!
To adhere the dryer sheet, I actually used a tape runner (actually, I used my ATG because it's all I have, but pretend I used the SU! tape runner). I think it works WAY better than the glue stick i used last time! I didn't have to worry about it drying too quickly, and it's super tacky. I smoothed down the dryer sheet as best I could, then smooshed it down into the glitter in the tray. I probably should have smoothed the dryer sheet a little better, because it isn't sticking as well in some places because of the glitter getting in the way. not really a big deal though.
The strips along top and bottom I was originally going to use grosgrain, but decided to be a bit more frugal and use the scraps of cardstock. Then I just used glue dots to adhere the bow.
I think this card is going to be for my friend's birthday. It was a week ago but I still hadn't made this....she gets her present Friday, so I will give it to her with the card.
