So glad I found some time to play today. Had to clean the house which was very much needed after watching DD's two dogs last weekend. I was inspired by this tray . I wanted to try crackling a dragonfly this time.......here are the details....
On white cs, I taped my eb stencil down, then applied the black eb paste. Removed the stencil, let dry. Cleaned a little.
Returned to the craft table, retaped the stencil down applied the crackle paste. Removed the stencil to let dry. Went back to cleaning.
When the paste dried and crackled, I once again put the stencil back down. Took some chalk pastel and q-tip and applied some color, blending a little with a blender pen. Removed stencil.
Underneath, I stamped the wheat using blue bayou but I stamped off once first before applying. Using my stamp a ma jig, I lined up where I wanted to over stamp. I loaded the stamp with meadow on the bottom part and butterscotch on top then stamped it slightly off from the blue bayou one. Repeated.
Cut this out using an oval coluzzle. Cut a larger oval out and sponged edges blue bayou. Took chalk and rubbed it around dragonfly and the rest of the panel. Sponged the edges with tea dye.
On a kraft card, I glued this decorative webbing stuff that I happen to see at the kraft store. Put my two ovals together then put them over the webbing on the card. Added three mosaic squares. Went back to cleaning. Oh boy what fun.
Well, that's how it was done. Hope you like my take on the IC.....TFL :0)

WOW, and wow!! So beautiful. The crackled glaze makes this look just like some beautiful oriental tile, and the simple background with the mesh sets it off to perfection.

Gorgeous!! It must have been a lot of fun (and very theraputic) to get to play with some of the things you have been wanting to try!! What wonderful results you got! Love the colors on the dragonfly and the fibery bg accent is perfect!!

Holey Moley Mutnik! Ok, the dragonfly drew me and may I say OMGOODNESS! But that webbing is the coolest detail for this card. I love it! So perfect for your IC piece too. Beautiful! Hugs, Buttnik XO

I could have sworn I commented on this beauty, so if you get two comments, my apologies!
Wowee, MutNut! This is so gorgeous! I would CASE this in a heartbeat, but oh my, my .... your skill set WAY exceeds mine x 1,000,000 even on my best day.
I have no clue what you did to make this fabulous dragonfly creation (although I did read your narrative). So me thinks I'll just watch your amazing artistic ability from afar.
Stunning.
