Yahoo -we have our own section in the challenge forum - today's challenge is here as well as on Cindy's blog.
Today Cindy shared with us the sad story of Mr and Mrs White. I am here to show them that there is a way of compromise - Blacken can have his black and white, but with a little behind-the-scenes magic Blanca can have her colour. It's been too long since I made a magic card, so a couple of detours meant I am later than planned arriving at the party.
Magic Card tutorial is in the Resources section. I used Flourishes Strut your Stuff for the peacock and sentiment. Peacock is coloured with H2Os and a sponged background. I embossed the front panel of the the card with Textile after cutting the oval. I used a Fiskars border punch for the bottom and top borders, and a large eyelet and fibres. I used the little flowers left from the border punch to decorate the front, with little gems.
This also fits the current FTTC challenge, using border punches.

A peacock at our party! What a great take on the theme. I just hope he/she doesn't freeze in our Colorado mountains. The end result was well worth the extra time you gave your card.

Oh this is so pretty! The peacock looks like it is framed...well I guess it is! Need to check out the tutorial. Love you did the sentiment in peacock colors and added the fibers. Lovely card! Do peacocks peck? I think I may not want to sit next to her. LOL!

Oh yeah, this'll get Blacken happy! I love this wonderful close up picture, it shows off the shimmery paper and beautiful color. Judi wonders about peacocks pecking...isn't it peacocks pecked a peck of pickled peppers???? Or do I have my nursery rhymes mixed up, AGAIN!!! Lovely little magical treasure Sabrina!

Oh, this is so pretty. I love that textile embossing folder everytime I see it used! Peacock image is so pretty and your creation is a perfect response to the Blacken White's predicament!
