CAS Masculine Retiform
Added to Favorite

Photo Details
Poster: Cook22

I am so struggling with this technique - the reverse side of my main front panel is a failed attempt. This isn't a whole lot better.
When I know what this is for, I'll probably add a sentiment...
I used Tim Holtz Distress inks (Antique Linen, Vintage Photo, Peeled Paint)for the retiform, and also for sponging the background (Faded Jeans, Milled Lavender, Vintage Photo, Peeled Paint) before stamping the tree.
After stamping the tree with black ink I coloured it with re-inkers and an aquapainter. Trimmed down, sponged the edges and mounted up on foam. I punched 3 little 3/8" circles and added Glossy Accents.

Sabrina, this is so pretty. You are being too critical. I love the colors that you used. The anlges are so interesting. The two green triangles to the right seem to draw my eye into your tree panel. I love the sponged sky behind the tree.

Oh I really like this Sabrina! Your choice of colors is soft and subtle...very pretty! There is no right and wrong to this technique. Mine is really wonky and I kind of like it! Your tree is beautiful. Great job! TFS

I like it. In fact I like all the cards using this technique that I've seen today. I really hate WHITE space on a card and this might just be the cure for that! Also, I like your use of Glossy Accents. I discovered this product when we were making 5-layer buttons, and now, Woo Hoo, I want to use it on everything - centers of flowers, stars, whatever.
